Jordan Rudess needs no introduction as the virtuoso keyboardist in Dream Theater and widely acclaimed as the greatest keyboard player ever in the prog rock genre. What is not as well known is that Jordan is also a very accomplished guitar player who enjoys playing the guitar very much. He spends a lot of time playing the guitar and has been enjoying a Prog NX 6 for years. This relationship has sparked the development of Jordan’s ideal electric guitar and it has finally come to fruition with the Boden JR Sorcerer Limited Edition.

True to his reputation as a musical sorcerer, this instrument embodies over-the-top virtuosity and infinite creativity – both in its bold and striking visual aesthetics as well as in sonic features to coax otherworldly sounds and textures.

Visually, the gloss transparent purple finish on Flame Maple top melds to a solid purple metallic finish on the sides and back while the Ebonol fretboard is adorned with the exquisite Jordan Rudess Sorcerer inlay for an out-of-this-world look. Underneath, chambered Swamp Ash body with solid plain Maple top and Flame Maple veneer mated with roasted Maple neck and Ebonol fretboard provide the trademark .strandberg* prog-metal sound that has defined the ever-popular Prog NX 6 and 7.

The Boden JR Sorcerer Limited Edition then goes one step further with the Sustainiac Stealth Pro Humbucker in the neck position with the Suhr SSH+ Humbucker in the bridge position for a wealth of great sounds ranging from bone-crushing metal to the cleanest of sparkling clean as well as endless sustain of Sustainiac that can enhance playing and composing creativity to a whole new level.

The Boden JR Sorcerer also includes glow-in-the-dark side markers and inlays  and a spotlight-friendly transparent finish.
