Product Overview
The flagship of Fernandes' Revolver line, featuring it's then newest in-house developed Headcrasher FRT-7B tremolo and FGI Technology huimbuckers, the FR-120 was played by such heavyweights of the time as Dio's Craig Goldy and Whitesnake's Adrian Vandenberg. Indeed, Vandenberg had his own version released, the FR120AV, with reverse headstock and sharkfin inlays. Note, the price of the Vandenberg was the same as this model.
The FRT-7 whammy bar housing was developed with a triangular device the moves sideways into the side area of the plastic device to prevent the tremolo from floating when needed. This comes in handy when playing live or wanting to move from a floating to locked bridge in a matter of seconds. However, the small insert the piece locks in to is missing.
The guitar is in very good condition for it's age, with only a few dings and scrapes. There is a small ding with slightly damaged finish on the bass side in between the third and fourth frets. There are also indentations from the fine tuner adjustment spring digging into the body when the trem has been pushed backward. There are a few minor dings around the body as well, but nothing remarkable for a 28 year old instrument. All damage has been presented as much as possible in the many photos presented here.
