This Edwards HEJ-95 is the signature model of the Japanese bassist Hitoki, famous for his work with the band Kuroyume.

Edwards is the subsidiary company of ESP in Japan, creating their mid range instruments that bridge the gap between the budget Grassroots models and the higher end E-II and their flagship Original Series models.

Sporting a unique JJJ pickup configuration, this bass is capable of providing tones from a traditional growly J bass to P bass style thump. The gloss black body is accented by the maple fretboard and gold hardware.

The bass has clearly been well loved, sporting some scars from its years of use. The front of the bass is near perfect condition with some minor finish damage. The back of the bass, however, shows extensive use by a player with a belt buckle, with a body crack that extends from the output jack to the control cavity on the bottom of the bass, which whilst looking gnarly is a purely cosmetic issue and not structural to the integrity of the bass. The strap button has also been repositioned, presumably to allow the bass to balance better. for a previous owner.

This bass is a perfect fit for any bassist looking to explore the world of offsets, J pickups, and really rock out without feeling as though they will damage their instrument, because someone has already done it for you. It's time to put your own scars on this bass!
