Product Overview
This 1987 Model 5 has seen some paint sink at the neck through join in the top of the body and the paint then chipped out. It is not a structural separation of the body to centre-piece of the neck, it does not extend in to the pickup cavity. It's a great refin project or just a way to get in to a phenomenal neck-thru guitar with a Kahler for a few bucks less than it might otherwise cost to do so.
Very clean otherwise with a largely unharmed headstock, only having seen a minor strike to the back of the tip, something rare in played Jacksons with the aggressive 6-in-line headstock. Now nearing 40 years of age, with frets in great shape with plenty of life left in them, there's a lot to like about this high end Japanese Charvel.
